The Kenai River is a beautiful river with an aqua blue color to it because of how clear the water is. The river is this color for most of the year, except for when the red salmon make their run to the spawning grounds. When this happens the water turns blood red because of all the salmon. We were there a little to early to see the red color of the river, but this beautiful blue color was good enough.
